FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if counseling is right for me?
I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy yet there are key times when it is a must. Are you consistently overwhelmed? Having trouble making a difficult decision? Struggling with grief, eating disorder, relationships, depression, anxiety or trauma and it’s affecting your daily life? If there is an issue that you are not able to resolve on your own, it’s a great time to work with an expert in these issues.
What type of counseling do you provide?
I offer individual, marriage, and family therapy. There is no one size fits all when it comes to therapy. An individualized plan is designed for your needs.
Do you offer in-person or online counseling?
I currently offer online services and in-person services.
How often do we meet and how long are the sessions?
Therapy sessions are usually weekly unless the situation requires more often. Each therapy session is 50 minutes.
How do I pay for the sessions?
All major credit cards are accepted. ZELLE transfers are also accepted. Square Register® charge fees for credit card will be added. Payment is processed prior to each session.
What is the cancellation policy?
The session cancellation policy is included in your consent form. Sessions are solely scheduled for you. You need to inform Dr. Pérez with 48 hours in advance if an issue arises.
Do you prescribe medication?
I do not prescribe medication; however, I can connect you with the appropriate professional if needed.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance at this time. I will provide you with a receipt which can be submitted for insurance reimbursement.
